supercell 2nd single: Sayonara MEMORIES (さよならメモリーズ)

So there’s a new supercell single coming out, and naturally I’ll be fanboying over it for the next few months.

So about the lyrics – ryo seems to be writing a set of season-themed songs, with hajimete no koi ga owaru toki representing winter, and kimi no shiranai monogatari alluding summer. And sayonara memories here captures the image of spring quite well. All with a single recurring theme: unrequited love.

Here it is. Tsukiakari no Michishirube (Guidepost of the Moonlight) is Darker than Black -Ryuusei no Gemini- first opening and Stereopony’s 5th single.

If you remember how good is ‘Namida no Mukou’ of Gundam 00 Season 2’s ED2 is, they are the ones who did it. The song is really amazing and they are totally cute. So yeah, forgive Bones that they picked Stereopony as opening instead of Abingdon Boys School. It is worth it.

supercell – Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari (君の知らない物語)

So, keeping my promise, I have translated (and romanji-ified) the lyrics to the ending theme of Bakemonogatari – Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari. I have had strong feelings for this song ever since I first heard it: the beautiful lyrics, the harmonious melody, and the sweet soothing vocals were all so amazing. And, well, here we go. (Again.)

Miho’s way of singing this single is very soothing and calm, not to mention that it catches the essense of sadness on the last part of each episode (Episode 22 is the best one I think).
