supercell 2nd single: Sayonara MEMORIES (さよならメモリーズ)

So there’s a new supercell single coming out, and naturally I’ll be fanboying over it for the next few months.

So about the lyrics – ryo seems to be writing a set of season-themed songs, with hajimete no koi ga owaru toki representing winter, and kimi no shiranai monogatari alluding summer. And sayonara memories here captures the image of spring quite well. All with a single recurring theme: unrequited love.

So, keeping my promise, I have translated (and romanji-ified) the lyrics to the ending theme of Bakemonogatari – Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari. I have had strong feelings for this song ever since I first heard it: the beautiful lyrics, the harmonious melody, and the sweet soothing vocals were all so amazing. And, well, here we go. (Again.)

Whereas A Certain Magical Index depicts the many misfortunes and sufferings of Touma Kamijou, A Certain Scientific Railgun, a spinoff series, is based on the everyday occurrences of Mikoto Misaka’s school life. The two series occur in parallel, sometimes even intertwining with one another. Shortly after the animated adaption of Index ended its initial broadcast, an animation project for Railgun was announced — and, well, here it is.
